Two specialized workshops, on the topics of “Geospatial Applications, Remote Sensing and 3D Modeling in Cultural Heritage” and “Analytical Techniques in Cultural Heritage”, were organized with great success by the ARISTEAS research team (October, 15-17). The workshops took place in person, in the facilities of the Laboratory of Archaeometry, following all the necessary measures to prevent the spread of COVID-19.
Both workshops aimed at providing theoretical and practical training in state-of-the-art methodologies in the field of New Technologies in Archaeology and Cultural Heritage. All 50 participants were employees (archaeologists, conservators, engineers, researchers etc.) in the Ephorates of Antiquities, Museums and other services of the Ministry of Culture. Priority was given to employees active in the Prefecture of Peloponnese.
